Alabama Association for Career and Technical Education (ALACTE) recently unified with the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) to provide enhanced membership services to Alabama’s career and technical education professionals. ACTE provides a strong collective voice at the national level for professionals representing all facets of career and technical education and will provide organizational and administrative support to ALACTE and its members.
Our unification with ACTE provides membership benefits at the state and national levels through a single, annual payment. At the state level, members will continue to receive the services and benefits ALACTE has historically provided, including:
Professional Development and Networking: Periodic conferences, trainings, and networking events to support interprofessional growth and connectivity
Advocacy and Legislative Affairs: A strong, consistent voice in Montgomery and across the state, advocating for issues key to the success of career and technical education professionals
Leadership and Recognition: The opportunity for leadership roles with ALACTE and recognition for commitment to the profession

Access to Techniques Magazine: Techniques, the award-winning magazine of ACTE, is published eight times per year and features articles that delve into CTE trends, case studies, and in-classroom innovations
Member Rate Insurance: A $25,000 policy for common carrier accidental death and dismemberment insurance within the first year of annual membership
Discounts Exclusive to Members: Receive member-only discounts on all ACTE events and on the latest CTE publications and products
